SkillsAssessTM Employability
SkillsAssessTM Employability gives providers a consistent, AI-supported way to assess adult learners’ skills, identify gaps, personalise support and prepare individuals for sustainable employment, further education or career progression.
The Challenge
Adult learners enter employability programmes with different levels of confidence, experience, qualifications and workplace readiness. Providers need a reliable way to understand each learner’s starting point, recommend the right support and evidence progress towards meaningful outcomes.
The Solution
SkillsAssessTM Employability combines structured skills assessment, AI guidance and personalised progression planning. It helps individuals understand their knowledge, skills and experience, then directs them towards the most appropriate next step: creating a CV, exploring further education or adapting an existing CV for a specific role.
The three user doors

Create my CV and find suitable jobs
For individuals who do not yet have a CV, or who are unsure about their skills, SkillsAssessTM Employability assesses their knowledge, skills and experience. It then creates a tailored CV and uses AI to research the local job market, suggesting suitable roles they could apply for.

Explore further education
For individuals who are interested in further education but are unsure which route to take, SkillsAssessTM Employability assesses their current education, interests and aspirations. It then produces a personalised report and recommends relevant local courses in colleges or universities, explaining why each option may be suitable.

Improve my CV for a specific role
For individuals who have completed their education and already have a CV, SkillsAssessTM Employability assesses skills against the roles they are interested in. Answers
We’ve put together some commonly asked questions, but if you need to know anything else please get in touch!
How can we assess learners consistently when they have very different starting points?
SkillsAssessTM uses adaptive assessments across English, maths, digital, AI, soft skills and DISC to establish each learner’s strengths, gaps and support needs. Assessments can also be customised to align with a provider, employer or programme.
My participants do not have a CV and are unsure about their transferable skills. Or we give them training on CV creation, but they do not do it, what else can we do to speed this up as our advisers end up doing it for them?
Yes. SkillsAssessTM assesses each participant’s knowledge, skills and experience to identify strengths and transferable skills they may not recognise themselves. It then uses this information to create a tailored CV, explain how their skills relate to different roles and suggest suitable local job opportunities. Ari, the AI Coach, can guide participants through the process so they have a clear starting point even if they have little or no previous CV-writing experience.
Can the platform turn assessment results into a practical action plan?
Assessment results feed into personalised pathways for CV creation, job search, further education or role-specific CV improvement. Ari, the AI Coach, helps learners understand their next steps and can recommend training where gaps remain.
How can we support learners with accessibility needs or limited English?
SkillsAssessTM includes voice activation, screen reader compatibility and multilingual assessments and dashboards, helping providers offer a more inclusive experience.
How can we keep learners engaged and help them see the value of assessment?
The three clear user pathways connect assessment directly to outcomes learners value: creating a CV and finding suitable jobs, exploring further education, or improving a CV for a specific role. Personalised reports and recommendations make the next step clear and relevant.
How can we reduce the administrative workload for advisers?
SkillsAssessTM automates elements of initial assessment, CV creation and adaptation, vacancy and course research, LinkedIn guidance, interview preparation and reporting. This gives advisers more time for targeted, high-value support.
How does SkillsAssess connect learners to realistic local opportunities?
AI-supported recommendations can suggest local vacancies and further education options based on a learner’s assessed skills, experience, interests and aspirations. Providers can also add their own course outlines to strengthen local relevance.
We need to demonstrate learner progress and programme impact, can SkillsAssess measure this?
Dynamic reports, dashboards and skills heat maps show strengths, gaps and trends of individuals, and across the whole group of participants. Individuals can take further assessments once training is completed to demonstrate improvement and progression. This supports reviews and provides evidence for funders, partners and employers.
How do we know assessments are reliable and completed by the right person?
Proctoring and anti-cheat features help protect assessment integrity, while consistent assessment structures give providers a dependable baseline for decision-making.
Can SkillsAssess work with our existing systems and governance requirements?
Integration and API options support connection with existing delivery models. Multifactor authentication and configurable administration access levels help providers manage security and user permissions.
Can we test the platform before a wider rollout?
Yes. Providers can begin with a selected learner cohort, test the three user pathways, gather learner and adviser feedback, review outcomes and refine the delivery model before scaling.
Can the assessment and learner journey be tailored to our programme or employer requirements?
Yes. SkillsAssessTM supports customised assessments aligned to provider, employer and programme needs. Providers can also add their own training course outlines so recommendations reflect local provision and delivery priorities. The platform is fully customisable so we have an initial scope to understand requirements and tailor the platform to each client.
What information can advisers and managers see?
Dynamic dashboards, reports and skills heat maps can present strengths, gaps and trends at individual, and across the group. They can review all reports provided to participants and reports can be created to suggest local skills gaps, most popular roles, time taken to employment etc. Configurable administration access levels help ensure users see the information appropriate to their responsibilities.
Can SkillsAssess support both adviser-led and self-service delivery?
Yes. The platform can be used during enrolment, within adviser-led reviews, as part of an employability programme or as a self-guided learner journey. The three user pathways and Ari AI Coach give learners structured guidance while allowing advisers to provide targeted support when needed.
How does SkillsAssess help learners become ready to apply and interview?
Alongside CV creation and adaptation, SkillsAssess can recommend suitable local vacancies, suggest LinkedIn profile improvements and provide interview tips and mock interview practice. This helps learners prepare more effectively for specific opportunities.
